AIRTime kicks off tonight!!

We are so excited that Free 103.9's AIRTime kicks off tonight. The gallery is buzzing away with radio channels selected at random from the sheer genius which is considered American AM talk radio. Zach created a piece of custom software to scan the channels and cut between them when the presenters pause between phrases.

This sonic collage contains absolutely hilarious moments of bible thumping creationists completing the sentences of African American Left Wing thinkers and radio advertising breaking into sheer absurdist commentary.

Overall, very entertaining and enjoyable to listen to, this work is unexpected, fun and very elegant to look at. The radios are modelled on an assortment of portable radios from the 30's forward and are made only of wire and speakers. Here's an image from the install to check out!
