We are excited to announce that in February we will be hosting Unsound festival in the gallery. They will be presenting sound postcards from the cold war era.
"During 60s and 70s communism in Poland, at a time when vinyl records were hard to get, sound postcards became popular. Sound postcards were usually made by tiny firms, and the recording quality was low, but often they represented the only available possibility of having access to hit songs from The West. In the late 70s, the cards were replaced by cassette technology."
We are excited to be part of this festival. Thanks to Bryan Kasenic for introducing us to Unsound. More information coming soon as we finalize details. More info at Unsound Festival >
